What is a Podcast?

A Podcast is an audio file - like a radio programme that you can download from the internet and listen to at your leisure.  Our podcasts are like short radio programmes - effectively, speech-based programmes packed with useful advice and guidance.

Do I need an i-pod to listen to them?

No.  Our podcasts are provided in MP3 format, which means that you download them to your computer and then choose how to listen to them.  So, for example, you might listen to them on your computer when sat at your desk, put them onto your MP3 player (including most phones or an i-pod) so you can listen on the move, or copy them onto a CD, so you can listen to them on a standard CD player - at home or in the car.  However, if the thought of downloading and saving files makes you nervous, we can also supply them on CD, ready for your listening pleasure!

How long are the podcasts?

The podcasts have all been written to last between eight and fifteen minutes - each podcast discusses a different issue, but lasting this length of time, you can learn in short bursts without getting bored, or feeling inundated with new facts to remember.  You can also listen to each podcast more than once, so if you need to revise, or if you didn't quite grasp a concept the first time, you can re-listen as many times as you like.

How can they save me money?

Good training costs money - up to £150 per therapist for a half-day training course.  You then need to add on the cost of transport and the potential lost revenue caused by having a member of staff tied up.  Our podcasts are designed to make use of time that otherwise could be wasted - a gap between appointments, for example, or even on the bus or in the car to or from work!  No time wasted = no lost revenue.

Better still, costing from just £35 + VAT for a course for up to five people, that's just £7 + VAT per head.  In other words, if a therapist takes the training course and then sells one more retail item than she would have beforehand, the course has already paid for itself.

Can I try before I buy?

In a word, yes.  We offer the first podcast in each of the series free of charge so that you can get a good idea of the format and style of the training podcasts.

Do I have to buy every podcast in the series?

No, but we'd advise that you do.  Both the retail training podcasts and the marketing podcasts follow a logical path to explain key issues.  To get the best value out of each of the programmes, you should ideally start at Podcast 1 and work your way through the stages in order.  However, we have designed them so that they do work independently - so you can just select one or two podcasts and still benefit from the information they contain.
